Phyno named joint The Sun Creative Personality of the Year, Plus 18 others

Multi-talented rapper, Azubuike Chibuzo Nelson, popularly known as
Phyno, has said that he would forever cherish The Sun Creative
Personality of the Year award bestowed on him.

Speaking when a team from The Run visited his residence in Lagos to
formally present a letter notifying him of the award, Phyno said:"For
you to work so hard and a particular body recognises and picks you out
among other persons, I think it is something big. This is an award I
will cherish and acknowledge forever."


The Sun awards holds on February 18, 2017 at the Expo Convention
Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.


Nineteen distinguished Nigerians will be honoured at the award
ceremony, which is already generating musci interest across the
country.


They are: Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun(Man of the Year);
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike(Governor of the Year); Chief Tony
Ezenna, Chairman of Orange Drugs Group Limited(Manufacturer of the
Year); Yusuf Dogara, Speaker, House of Representatives(Political Icon)
and Alhaji Shehu Dikko, Chairman League Management Company(Sports
Personality)


Others are: Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari(Courage in
Leadership); Dr. Stella Okoli, CEO, Emzor Pharmaceuticals (Business
Personality of the Year); Mr. Herbert Wigwe, MD Access Bank plc(Banker
of the Year); Dr. Cosmas Maduka, Chairman of Coscharis Group(Investor
of the Year), Prof. Anya O. Anya, Chief Nike Akande, Chief Razak
Okoya, Dr. Kalu Idika Kalu and Alhaji Abubakar Balarabe Musa(Lifetime

Thirteen-year-old Ukoma Michael from Nigeria is one of the youngest and best upcoming tech entrepreneurs in the world. He invented a battery-operated fan that will last for up to 19 hours. He calls them “Blue Wind Fans,” and they come in different shapes and sizes from table top to free standing. Once the fans are charged, they can run for up to 19 hours!

How he does it
Michael makes his fans from aluminum and wire, and uses old cartons for packaging. This makes them very affordable for low income families, but the fans are presentable and modern looking, blue with a high-tech appearance. As a young entrepreneur, Michael has more plans in his future; he wants to eventually manufactor not just fans, but also engine parts, and aircrafts.

Michael represents a growing trend in countries like Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa where schools are increasingly becoming dedicated to encouraging youths to develop exceptional solutions to the country’s problems.
